This masterpiece showcases Bach's profound understanding of vocal and instrumental textures to convey a sense of consolation and rejoicing amidst tribulations. With its intricate chorales, arias, and recitatives, BWV 21 stands as a testament to Bach's unparalleled ability to fuse deeply expressive music with theological meaning."
